BBC - can you use a PC instead of Tape ?

Just wondering if you can use a PC sound card to send info to and from a BBC micro ? I've found this for tape to PC, but I want to go from PC to BBC directly. Then could look at using the serial port for the rest. http://www.nvg.ntnu.no/bbc/software.php3
