cut the plastic cap part off that you pour out of rinse it out and flatten it and but it in your green bin. that is if you have room as they only get emptied once a mnth.

it's such a bitch to get the little bit on the top off...

what happens if you just throw the pak into the bin, top attached?

thats what i do anyway, rinse it out and flatten it right out then when you screw the cap on it keeps it that way - save space:D

Definitely Green Bin.. Its only in the last year I'd say that you can put them in it though - we got some notice saying to start putting them in!

Can you put plastic in though? I never do, cos we were never told to, but my dad & brother are adament that they got a notice saying they now take plastic (Clondalkin)!

There was defiantely someting that came around about them now being supposed to go in the green bin. No mention was made about the lid though, but I presume they have methods of dealing with them. They still don't take plastic in the green bin though other than the tetrapak lids.

i think it depends on where you are and who runs the service, im in lucan and cant put plastic into the green bin, but in celbridge it says they can put plastic bottles in the green bin.

I'm just trying to settle an argument. Are you meant to put Tetra Pak cartons into the Green bin? I remember reading somewhere that you're not meant so I stick them in the black bin but my friend is adamant that they belong in the green bin. Any ideas?

Fingal Co Co accepts them in green bins.
