that Boards was pushing near the one million post mark. That was back in August '03. Currently Boards is nearly at 3.75million post  The place really has grown in the past 2 years.

Back in May '03 Boards was had an average of 2,000 posts a day. And there was only about 13,000 members.

Does any know what the average post count is now (excluding Victor's ;) )

    That's easy: 69*.

    Congrats, we've hit kinky quantity.

*technically that's 68.89, and not including Victor that brings us to 68.48 average. So without Victor and properly rounding we wouldn't have reached the kinky quantity (mathematically known as 'k'). That doesn't mean that Victor is kinky but simply adds to our k value..

Still though it's a great number, I guess boards is well up there in worldwide messaging forums. Defo Ireland's no.1 I wonder how defunct accounts are there though? And at what percentage did boards grow in 2005?

Unfortunately, as the number of posts go up, the signal to noise ratio seems to fall... :(

True, so many "fight the power" threads are appearing in Feedback over the past few months. Not just a once a month kinda thing anymore. More like once or twice a week at this stage.

You could regain that feeling if you had a magic ignore button that would remove all users/posts based on say start date or post count.

In all fairness though, and im probably going to be pilloried for this, the standards of some mods has dropped through the floor over the last year or so. You read some stuff that people with the badge post and think "would you have the testicular fortitude to throw that attitude in someones face in real life?" and the answer is usually... i think not. Which is always a bad sign for a forum.

:v: < fight the powers that be!
