    Hi,
I want to move all my outlook stuff to another computer. Basically keep all the same folders and everything else that is on my laptop, and move them all over to my pc. Is it just a matter of backing up the folders, and putting them onto the PC, or is there another way it should be done?

If you're talking about Outlook Express, I haven't a clue.

If you're talking about Outlook (bearing in mind that I have only ever worked with 2000, but it should be the same) then look in C:\Documents and Settings\$username$\(Local Settings\)Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook, (the stuff in the brackets may be in the path, I con't remember at the moment) and you will find a number of .pst files (1 if you don't use an archive). Copy these to the same location on your new computer.

    Thanks Aidan
There is no Outlook folder in the Microsoft folder though :( , and no sign of anything else that could be it.

The e-mails aren't located in the Outlook Express folder. Go Tools -- Options -- Maintenance and click the Store Folder button to find out where they are or to locate them somewhere else.
