right one of my relations just rang me to say she cant get the ipod she got for xmass to work .

i asked her what was going wrong but she was a bit sketchy on the details .

basicly the software told her to upgrade her computer . well thats what she said .

i told her i doubt it would say that and that you probably need some upgrade for the software to make it fully compatiable with win 98

ive still gota go to the apple website and look up probloms for the ipods and win 98 to see if this is common but i thought somone hear must of seen the problom before .

Ipod Nanos require Mac OS/win2000/XP as far as I know. You may be able to use them with EphPod or something instead of iTunes on 98.

iPods won't work on windows 98 full stop. You will need windows 2000 with sp4, or windows xp

i also had a relative ring me about this. the solution to the problem is Xplay. It s a third party app that allows you to sync muisc to & from your ipod.
