The sound coming from a digibox through a scart to your TV should be in stereo, but will not be "Nicam" stereo. Nicam is system for broadcasting analogue signals in stereo and when your TV gets a Nicam signal (from terrestrial ananlogue signal or through analogue cable) it probably shows a "Nicam" sign on the display. As Sky don't use Nicam to broadcast their stereo signal it wouldn't show a Nicam sign on the display but as long as the scart is connected properly it will still be stereo sound on any channel that broadcasts in stereo (the majority of channels on Sky Digital).

Hope that's not as confusing as it looks ....

i noticed when i got my lcd the sound was on mono, untill i changed it to stereo.

also if you hook your digibox up to a pro logic amp via the red and white phonos at the rear, you can get some dolby surround from channels. ;)
