    Hi guys,
I am planning to start taking Judo soon. Do you guys know where I can get a Judo Gi? I am trying not to import too much because I don't want to get it caught by customs and exicse.
    Thanks guys.

    John

sorry dude, don't know about kilkenny myself but if you do get stuck and decide to import heres a site i've used to buy some Karate Gi of off.

    www.zanshinmartialarts.com

only cost me €15 to per suit to get them delivered to me with registered mail. please bear in mind they were 16 ounce suits, i believe Judo suits are a bit heavier, I may be mistaken, dunno it's not my sport.

Judomick or some of the other grappling guys should be able to help you out better.

    anyway good luck with training

Wow! Those guys are selling Mizuno Signature Gis for £21, they usually cost about near €200. I might pick one up myself.

The coach at the club will be able to point you in the direction of a local supplier. Don't go nuts buying your first suit, no point paying €100 on a suit if you stop after 6 months, which a lot of people do. Anyway for a beginner wearing a €40 or a €400 judogi won't make much difference. Your coach might be able to give you the lend of a top until you get your suit, so you don't neccesarily have to buy one beforehand.

If you insist, I've found this website to be good in the past - http://www.judo-store.com
