    I have put together a simple guide to help you work out what you should expect to pay in customs duty and VAT when buying online from the States, Canada, India etc. Feel free to link to it if it's useful to your website's viewers.

    ok, you pimped this site (yours) that sells clothing or something 6 times in this forum. I'm going to leave this one thread about it, as it does have *some* useful information about vat on clothing. Pimp it again, and youre banned.

    Ok, would you prefer if I posted the entire contents of that page on all six threads? If you would, then I'll do it that way - no hassle.
    If you read the contents of the actual page you would see that it's relevant to all the subject headings it's posted under.
    As it is, I see people crying out on the online shopping threads here for the info. I'm giving. I've summed up the position clearly, and told people where to look for further relevant info. to other imports like electronics.
    If you object to me pointing out what the import situation is, please find and post links to the relevant info. so that others can find it.
    ( It took me 3 hours of fruitless net searching and 5 phone calls to find out what I did. Have you ever tried to find out the rate of duty on anything from the Customs site ? http://www.revenue.ie/services/customs.htm :) )
