Acceptable contact with ur other half over xmas!

A feisty chrimbo debate ensued last nite (well it was actually a slaggin match but since its xmas, we'll call it a debate!) about what level of contact with ur other half over the xmas while he/she is in a different part of the country or with family etc is acceptable.

One of me mates goes bout 2 days without contacting the missus other than some friendly txt n chat on xmas day.

Another one of the lads is slightly insecure and enjoys a call a day but his other half is kinda easy goin n doesnt work like clockwork. (much to his annoyance and our humour! lol)

What bout u lot? Do u get bored of ur other half over xmas if ur phone calls are drab?

I suppose it would be dissappointing if they were drab. No point in ringing just for the sake of it.
