Right, I am looking to buy a sports game soon.

    Which one would you reccomend?

By sport i mean, Madden, Fifa , NHL , NBA etc etc.

I love football but i have heard bad things about Fifa.

Maddden is probably my next choice.

    What do you think?

Ok I have played the following so I will give u a brief review.

Madden 06 : Very Good 2 player but not online , it blows due to massive lag.

NBA 06: Blows just plain boring, it blows due to massive lag.

FIFA 06: Visually stunning, but its the worst game ever, a sheer promo tool by EA, its a joke due to the fact you dont even get to play in the WC. it blows due to massive lag.

Tiger Woods 06: Nice , but gets bpring.

Basically the majority of the sports games suck donkey balls because those a$$holes at EA only know how to create nice looking games but forget the fact of actual gameplay.

Madden is great in two player, but it lacks the single player depth of the current-gen version, franchise mode seems a little cut down and apart from that there's just single matches. Online is quite laggy but I have had some very enjoyable matches.

So basically I'd recommend it for two player mode if that's what you want.

I'm considering Tiger Woods. I loved it on the ps2

Tiger Woods is probably the best of a bad bunch. Only Six courses but its still a challenge, what with the new putting system being a tad hard to get used to.

The only other Sports game I played was madden and I have to say I was terribly disappointed with it. Only franchise mode and exhibition mode is a bit bogey tbh.

Much better graphics, much fewer modes, same gameplay. Basically. I like the new way of organising the playbook when your picking plays too, that's pretty much all I can think of! Game still plays great in two player with someone who knows what their doing though.

Edit: Re-read that and you were probably talking about Tiger Woods... Oh well...

    Lol.

The changes to the putting are that you now have to select the power of the shot in the same was you would on a normal shot i.e. if your marker was at 10M away and you pulled the stick back half way the ball would travel 5M. Slightly different than the previous games but works once you get used to it.

Changes to the main shot is that the right analog stick now controls where the club will strike the ball. So if you wanted to draw/fade the shot you would have to hold the right stick left/right while making your shot with the left stick. And likewise for trajectory, if you want the ball to arc higher hold the right stick down while taking the normal shot.

Ive got madden 06, and i think its brilliant!

If you enjoyed the previous ones in the series then this is for you although there are some features missing which may be key for other players!

    Personally though i love it!
