Have you formatted the memory card?
When you go to system settings there's an option called "Fromat Memory Stick". Choose that then put the music files into /psp/music

Not necessarily. Wireless broadband isn't the same as wifi, which is what the PSP uses to connect to the net. If she has a wireless access point then you're sorted.

Sorry if this has been discussed before. But it is possible to share out the memory stick as a drive so I Can copy stuff over the wifi? Left my cable somewhere and can't find it. :(

Don't think so, but the cable is a standard USB A-B cable, the same as is used by many digital cameras, mp3 players, mobile phones, etc, so it should be easy enough to find another one. Since its a standard cable, they're also readily available in the shops.
You could also get a cheap memory card reader and plug it into your PC/mac.

If you're running firmware version 1.5 you can get an FTP app for transferring between the PSP and PC over Wifi.
