    Hey all,

I'm thinking of buying a phjone off ebay. It's usually around €500 but there's one guy one ebay selling a few of them for €200.

    Here's the member profile: http://feedback.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=ynaqiuhong&iid=6467354978&frm=284

I was going to buy it but then I noticed that all the comments are made by ebay names such as "fhioiuh" and all the comments were made within half an hour of one another! Do you think this is dodgy or could I go ahead and buy the phone? What sort of come back would I have if I paid via Paypal?

All the feedback for all the people he's "bought" items from is also from today.
Looks well dodgy, I would avoid.

to be honest, with regards to eBay, if it's too good to be true then it probably is... you may pick up a right bargain at times, but generally prices reflect what the person thinks an item is worth..

A good rule of thumb is - if you feel you have to ask others is the offer kosher then it's probably not.

Lets face it - the only reason you are asking us is because deep down at the back of your mind you think its dodgy...otherwise you'd have snapped it up. But its good that you had that sense it was iffy - plenty of other feckers are probably buying away merrily basking in their belief that on eBay you can get a real bargain...

Over the years I have come to the conclusion that there aren't man bargains on ebay but it is a place you can find anything. However eBay advertise it as a place full of bargains so its no surpise when people buy dicky goods thinking they are getting a great ebay bargain...

Search for consumer electronics in ireland through ebay.ie and its infested with these ppl selling 60gb ipods for 80 euros etc. Sad thing is though, some irish ppl are bidding for them! You'll even see some accounts that have being hacked into, that are suddenly selling 100 ipods even though there last feedback was 3 yrs ago (and payment is by western union of course ;) ).

Ebay could easily have someone that banned these sellers or deleted the auctions for ebay.ie anyways, but they dont give a ****.

That is textbook scamming, there is NO doubt that it is a scam, a very poor effort.

    CN,
All feedback left by members using similar member names,
    all NRU's

    Pretty obvious one.

If you geta gut feeling that something is wrong do not part with payment.

There seems to be 14 members who have all bought off the other 13 (excluding themselves) and left positive feedback for one and other, what a coincidince, definitely a scam.
