Im looking at buying my own PC in the new year and im unsure what model and brand to get.

I use Compaq in work and a Dell in the folks house.

I mainly use the PC for music and movies (iTunes and me iPod) and would also like to have a home dvd editing package for home vids etc.

    Any suggestions?

For video editing you needs bags of ram and HD space. What kiond of budget you willing to spend, and what do you need? Lock stock and barrel, or just the base unit?

around the €1k mark. Looking for PC from scratch. Remember the video edit stuff is just for home vids so it doesnt have to be fancy.

You will get a fairly good PC and a reasonable flat screen for a grand, what county are you in?
