    I have a vague memory of hearing that the owners were seeking planning permission to turn it into something else (probably apartments).

    It disappeared around the same time as The Ambassador started doing gigs. No huge loss, I "performed" in the SFX and it was a kip backstage. Theres a prevailing rumour that NIN refused to return to Ireland after being put in the SFX first time around (though they claim they'll come here in 2006.).
