A friend made me a slideshow using windows media player, what I am trying to do is take one of the pictures of the slideshow to print, but it wont let me do this.

Is it even possible to take a save one of the pictures off the slideshow?

If the picture is taking up the whole slide you could save that. Otherwise I am not sure.

    Warning I could be wrong.

Not sure what filetype slideshows are, but I'd try open it with Media Player Classic and use it's screenshot function to make a JPEG of it.
    Hope that helps.

Have you tried PrtScn (print screen) then pasting that into mspaint?

If that gives you the ol' blue screen of no joy, there are applications out there to overcome that. Have a look on download.com for "print screen" or some such.
