Looks like a "phising" mail, the purpose of these these fraud mails is to get people's details of accounts and passwords, usually bank accounts, if you were to log into the supposed help centre of Paddy Power (which I presume they have a fake link for) and change the details then they would have the details of your real Paddy Power account. Don't have anything to do with the mail including clicking on anything within the mail. No Internet poker site will ever send you a mail like this or ever ask you for account details by email or anything like that. I get them all the time supposedly from Banks I don't have an account with but I've never seen it from a poker site before.
On this topic, have people on this forum noticed a lot of phising mails to their email address over the past few months? Maybe to the mail address they used to sign up to an online site (not ppp)? I have a suspicion.

I get them in my work email all the time but I have yet to get one in the email address that I set up for poker accounts. I have only used that email address for poker so it will be interesting if I do get any to it.

    Sure did.

One year I got cards from three gambling companies. I must be cutting back without realising it.:o

My 6-year-old nephew was showing me card tricks today. I'm going to go heads-up against him on St Stephens day for all his money. I have to end this losing run somehow. Are you ready Gavan? :):):)

Hi all. A quick update for you. This mail is not a spoof it is a legitimate mail from our help centre. When in sports book homepage if you click on HELP and sign up there this enables comms from our help centre.
However many thanks for bringing it to my attention. If you ever receive anything else slightly suspect with our name on it please let me know.

The spoof emailers have obviously hacked ppppitbosses boards account.

I didnt get the christmas deck so it seems to have to do with your rake paid over the last two months.

I know PPP-Pit Boss has cleared up the origins of the poster's email but I still wouldn't trust any email that didn't come from @paddypowerpoker.com or @partypoker.com or wherever. I don't know why the PPP cust service wouldn't have this. You can't be too careful when it comes to online money, be it poker sites, online banking or whatever.

You can't really even trust mails that come from the domain they claim they're sent from. You can set your outgoing mail address to anything you want, so if i wanted to send a mail from bill.gates@microsoft.com, i could, and then just set the reply path to something different. Generally i don't trust ANY mails to do with finances, and if there is something to be done, i'll go through the proper site to do it, not some link in an email.

100% in agreement with the trusting factor. The mail in question was achieved by the customers in question signing up to paddy power sportsbook help centre not paddy power poker which is why only they got it and why it did not say PPP (it was not from our department).
If you ever see anything you dont recognise however be really careful because there are spoofs around. VC recently had a VC-POKER BONUS site attempting to get customers to log in using user name and pass which they shut down.

FYI customers who did not receive this did so as they marked their accounts as non-contactable thusly we do not send out general mails... or pressies :(

So that's why I never got a Chrissie Card or pressie...
