okay so we all know we should be drinking oodles of water every day, and even more if you train a lot, but does that water absolutely have to be plain water? Can you put even a small amount of cordial (sugar free of course!!) or something like that in it to make it a bit more palatable?

I just find water very difficult to drink on its own....

You can pretty much drink whatever you want in it. Just keep the additions sugar free like you have said and you should be fine. Also, maybe keep an eye on anyone's that contain fructose.

Just make sure to avoid adding anything to water before and during training - you dont want to be getting cramps during your sessions! It really is essential that you drink plenty of water before, during, and after training. Other than that, cordial is fine - sure even in a large cup of tea, you're drinking about a 1/3 of a pint of water.
