    Hi
has anyone noticed if the ITV News service [channel 210 on NTL Digital]
has been removed. When I switched on the digi box this morning the channel was removed from the line up, including my favourites.
    Dublin city area.:(

    Thanks
    for the heads up

It's gone from NTL MMDS too. NTL have obviously done a pre-emptive removal.

I wonder if they will replace it with something else. ITV 2 and 4 are notable ommissions from the EPG. Although it is questionable if people would want them anyway ;)

I see BBC News 24 has also taken over its place on the little window on the Guide page. I'd still rather that little window was used to show the current channel.

I never watched ITV news. BBC World/News24 and Sky are vastly superior.

Not to mention the end of an era as Trevor McDonald presented his last main evening news last week. Losing your star player when you're already struggling to find viewers makes it an almost impossible task to continue.

FTA has Euronews (mostly by ITN), BBC News 24, Cspan on BBC Parliament, Skynews, CNN, Al Jazzera

Pay TV has Fox, Star, CNBC, Bloomberg, DW TV.

CNBC and Bloomberg are FTA on other sats with DW TV, Nile TV, BBC World and the new and excellet English "Russia Today" among others(VOA, Cspan, English bullitains on IBA, Turkish, Iran, JSTV.

I watched ITV news once or twice.

Anyone know what time it is closing tonight? It is after 6pm then us freeview viewers won't see the closedown as it finishes early for us anyway.

Interestingly, the freeview EPG still lists programmes for tomorrow.

I hope they fill the gap with Fox News so those of us on cable can finally see this legendary phenomena!

    Mike.

I've seen documentaries and read books and articles about Fox News and some of their more prominent personalaties, on and off screen, but I've never got to see it. On one hand, I would like to see it. On the other hand, I know I'm better off not seeing it, partly because I just know it will probably make me angry at times ;)

    Fox is an amazing channel!

I was so glad when it went encrypted (pay TV) on all the satellites it had been FTA.

Also I don't need anything in Sky's "News mix pack" (very bad value if you have a motorised FTA system).

I'm not tempted to self harm by watching it anymore.

I do still watch a bit of MSNBC direct from States. Not enough for permenant harm though.

I hope ntl move BBC News 24 to 201 ... It makes no sense that it is below Euronews and CNN in the EPG. The ratings speak for themselves and BBC News 24 is more than giving Sky a run for its money. GO ON ntl ...MOVE BBC NEWS 24 :)

ITN are an excellent and truely world class news agency, however, ITV's branding and ITV news housestyle is terrible.

ITN is only partly owned by ITV (various other agencies including Reuters) have big chunks of it.

I would like to see ITN's vast resources put into some kind of a propper news channel that was actually interesting. Maybe their other client, Channel 4, might look at it at some stage in the future.

Yeah Fox is great, it's so great that it should live with Paramount Comedy 1 & 2

Its difficult to describe Fox News!!

Do they still have the American flag in the corner and "America at War" crap plastered everywhere to keep Americans scared so they wil pass/overlook any "strange" laws/acts caried out by their "Commander in chief"???
