Short temper days

You know those days when the slightest thing sets you off? Anything at all can make you go MENTAL! How do you keep yourself from flipping? When people keep asking you questions etc... How do you stay cool.

I usually start to tell myself to calm down and try to breath. It rarely works. I'm having one of those days..... Someone just made me tea instead of coffee.

splash the tea in their ungrateful little face. You deserve better. They are just trying to wind you up . They know you like coffee. No one there likes you and they are all giggling about it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,345 ✭✭✭Somnus

Like you said, its just a bad day. No ones fault really so just keep that in mind before shouting at someone who doesnt deserve it.

    I know the days though

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,433 ✭✭✭kittenkiller

Try to respond to the offender slowly.
Hopefully that way you'll catch yourselp before you overreact or say something too harsh.
    Remember to breathe!

At least being a bloke no one will try to blame your hormones for days like that!

I tend to just keep all conversations with anyone to a minimum, by ending any conversations quickly. It doesn't take a genious to work out that I don't want to talk with them and they stop pestering me.

Though if its the boss then it doesn't do well to take this approach and just try and stay calm (easier said than done though).

Happens to me every so often. They know what I’m like in here so if I’m pee’d off they know to leave me alone and not talk to me. Then the next day when I’m feeling better I’ll say sorry and all is forgiven. So let rip Joejoem and worry about it tomorrow! :)

First song comes to mind 'Ya had a bad day,you taking one down you sing a sad song just to turn it around' that song cheers me up when i've having a ****ty day.

Be nice & tell them you can't drink tea.

You just made it worse, I hate that f*cking James Blunt generation of handbag singers. Bunch of whiney poofs that couldnt string together a decent song together if there haircut or stupid wooley f*cking hat depended on it.

James Bluint sounds like Terrance and phillip from south park, and the guy in the beany hat, aghhhh, he has a voice for Dunnes Stores. Could Vennessa please come to the service till, thats vennessa to the service till thank you....

    I appreciate the thought though.

I agree not a great fan of James Blunt (use of beautiful in every song he writes) but that song i mentioned was by a canadian artist called Daniel Powter.

Were you out drinking yesterday? I find that my blood sugar level the next day is low = I'm grumpy. Eat a bar of chocolate or a nice meal and that should sort it.

Is your job answering those questions by any chance? It always amuses me how many Irish workers see the customer as a pain in the ass, when their job entails serving the customer.

I have PMA - permanent mental anguish. most of my customers are internal to the company and seem to exist solely to wreck my head. fro example we have reps who cannot answer a single question on what they are selling and several other people who believe in passing any problem they have to me cos they cant b @rsed solvin git themselves....hmmm thats my rant for the day

Problem 1 solved. Get off your ass and make your own coffee.

This wasn't worth making a whole new thread about, but it definately deserves a mention in short temper days.
My beautiful lap top, that my incredibly generous parents gave me last christmas, to help me through my final year of college, is dead.

*sillysausage bows her head in a mark of respect.

I am actually devastated. I love that lap top, I would have failed college without it. In a wise move I decided to put it on top of my wardrobe while I was tidying my room, it took one steep fall to meet its maker.

Its amazing how devastated I actually am. I seriously feel like I have lost a friend, how sad is that?

I have had one of my mates, a serious computer techie, take it apart and put it back together again, he said the motherboard is well and truly fooked!

He is going to see if he can save all the info on the hard drive, I pray he can.
If he can save my files, I guess it wont be so bad.

    I am depressed now.

Got my mam a digital camera for xmas, was going to let her mess about with it on my laptop, no such luck now.

Anyone wanna gimme a laptop? No? Didn't think so.

A selection of live frag grenades may help. Everytime you get pissed off by someone... pull a pin out of one and swallow it.
