REQUEST: Car Cassette Adapter

Hey guys, I need to find a car cassette adapter to plug an mp3 player into a car tape deck in Dublin tommorrow! Any ideas of the cheapest place to find one? Cheers!

Hi, just a word of advice. I tried 4 or 5 cheapies (5 - 20 euro) including an all-in-one kit (power adapter/fixings/leads) and I ended up going to a car audio/alarm shop and buying one for 30 euro - just the "cassette" part and the wire leading from it. (The brand was part of the "Panasonic Family").

The problem with the cheaper ones (in my experience anyway) is that the actual magnetic head that transfers the signal from your audio source (MP3, etc) to the car stereo is often mounted on a piece-of-crap plastic 'yoke'! So you end up with deteriorating sound volume and quality in a short space of time... Cheaper ones can cause problems with the auto-reverse mechanism in car stereos too.

A good one is worth the investment from day 1!
