    Hey,

I'm planning to go interailing with a group of about 8 lads this summer, done a bit of research already but wondering if any boardsers have any essential advice/ recommendations/ places to visit? We're planning to go around July for 3 weeks to zone C and D.

    Cheers

what is it with the irish guys and the interrail? :) I met a lof of irish groups this summer during my interrail.
I'm just impressed. I could never manage to agree with 7 of my girlfriends on where to go or what to do on such trip :)
I was only with one guy and we had to split after 2 weeks cause we didnt agree :P

there's a lot of nice stuff to see in eastern europe. prague is a must.
and if you do go to prague the best hostel ever is called travellers hostel Ujezd, you can find it on hostelworld.com

The 1 piece of advice I would give you is don't go with 8 people - its way too many. You'll never get anything done and there will be loads of arguments.

I went inter-railing a few years ago and loved it. Get as far east as you can - some amazing countries out there.

Finlma some lads were thinking of splitting up at some stage into 2 groups of 4, so that might be a bit more reasonable?

    Cheers for the link Javelin.

Any more advice is greatly appreciated, I think we'll be booking flights soon enough.

Im thinkin of going myself, just the two of us going though. Plan would be to get a global ticket for a month. Do 10 cities. Stay a while in the first and last city so as to stretch the whole thing out to about 5-6 weeks. But thats all just a pipedream at teh mo.

Munich, Zagreb, Prague, Bratislava, Vienna, Rome, Budapest, ... even try and get over to the Black Sea on the east coast of Romania. It is pretty backward there but quiet an experience. I was there 2.5 years ago and had a great time.
