Sorry i keep bothering you guys with questions about applications but

i was wondering if i put down 5 courses all at TCD is it possible that i may recieve an offer for two subjects?

And also say if i put a very popular course as my first choice, and much less one as my third, even if i have the points for the 1st course will it be possible for me to recieve the 3rd choice, purely for putting it down, so i am better off not putting down 3rd-10th choices? -if that makes any sense

If you get the points for your first choice, you are accepted for it, and the rest of your 'list' may as well have been blank. However, your other courses don't count positively or negatively towards your chances of getting an 'offer' on your first choice.

If you fail to get the points for your first choice, your second choice is considered. If you get the points, you are offered it, and all subsequent courses are disregarded.

If you fail to get the points for your second choice, your third choice is considered...

    [repeat to 10]

Your choices should be strictly preferential - the course you would most like to do, assuming perfect results, should be no. 1. Your second choice should be no. 2. Your choices are read by computer; no advantage is gained by listing 'related' choices. Do not try and play the system; there is no human element to the allocation of offers, and the computer element is purely based on sorting and matching.
