    Linkage

Im getting one of these for my girlfriend for Xmas (well, kinda for the both of us ;)).
Ive read some good reviews about it. We are novices at photography. I managed to get one new with 12 month warranty for 250, which looks like a good deal. So has anyone ever used one?

Im not exactly sure what RAW is, but from what I hear its good for editing etc. Anyone care to elaborate?

A mate of mine has one, they're a fine camera, great for people starting off, and has some good features for when you want to get more advanced. I've reccomended the finepix range to anyone who's asked me in college lately.

RAW is the type of image that the camera takes really. Big files, but as you said, good for editing! Good luck with it :)

I have the previous version the s5500, i love it, ive gotten some nice shots with it too, i love the 10x optical zoom, the new one has an iso up to 1600 which is great, wish mine went up that high. it has deadly battery life too.

where did you get yours for 250?

Mate of mine has it, and loves it... he bought it up north where it was a fair bit cheaper. Where the hell did you find it for 250? Dubai???

Hehe, I got it as an Xmas offer where I work. Could only choose one thing from a list of electrical goods - this seemed like the best offer. I got it today and had a play around with it, Im very impressed so far.
