Last luas (green line) last night - anyone on?

Last luas was 3am last night... It was jam packed as it pulled out from St Stephens Green.
It stopped at Harcourt but the (3rd party) security guards were trying to stop anyone else from entering. This meant people who queued for tickets at Harcourt... paid their €4, were then told they had to find another way to get home.
Tram pulled into Ranelagh and then the mayhem began.
The doors opened and closed for around 5 mins and then didn't open again for at least 15 mins despite many demanding to be let off.
Turns out, a door down near the end was broken, and the tram can not move unless all doors are operational.
The doors finally opened and no one knew what was going on. Eventually, it became clear the tram was going nowhere and many were now very angry.
The cops were on site and a lot of angry fist were pointed towards the driver and security workers... other smaller fights were breaking out among tired (and drunk passengers).
I was lucky enough to hail a cab around 5mins down the road, but a lot of people had a long walk ahead of them.
I very much doubt there was time to call a few buses to help with the situation and I left before things got worse.
Anyone else on it? Did it eventually get going?
I know it was one of the busiest nights of the year, but the situation was handled in very poor fashion, and would have been much worse had it been raining.

That's terrible. I'd be mighty pissed off if I wasn't allowed on the last tram after paying €4!

Write to the company and claim your money back.
