I recently got call of duty 2 for the pc and it runs sound with all settings on but i was just wondering what temp should the cpu be reaching as ive noticed it goes up to 41 degrees. It doesnt go over that and theres no slowdown or anything but i dont want to be burning the cpu at the same time? Whats the usual temp it should reach when playing games?

I've had CPUs running at 70 Degrees due to bad or inefficient cooling...

Don't worry, 40 Degrees is super cool for a CPU which is running games!

40 degrees should be fine, just if it goes any higher it is probably a sign of badness.... :)

By the way, what kind of CPU is it that you are using?

Mine always ran at about 78/79! But I was applying termal paste on Wednesday and I could'n't get the thing to boot up again :-(
    Looking for a new processor...
