Has anybody had experience of exceeding their Max Download allowance with BT?

Was just wondering whether you do get charged for going over it and how much they did actually charge?

The download allowance is 12gb per month and they say they charge 3c per mb after that, nobody I spoke to has had to ever pay anything extra.

Would like to know before I start some serious downloading!!

    Thanks

    the basic BT package?

is it actually 12 down? i thought it was 12gig 'data transfer allowance' which would suggest combined up and down?

so maybe you already exceeded it

It's 12G up and 12G down. 24G up and 24G down on broadband plus.
