ok posted in the mobile/PDA forum too, but doesnt seem to get much traffic and I need to decide today while boss is in good form (saves me the VATT)

    Dell Axim X51v
hey was thinking of getting one of these, 20% off, and boss pays vat

thing is will I use it ?

I want to take notes access notes at class (law, computer tuition etc)

can I carry say computer class worksheets (I tutor) on SD card ?

and accessing the interent on a PDa ...erm how do you do that !!
(I've broadband thro chorus cable on the lappie)

and PDA software you see on ebay , games apps etc, can I load them on a Dell just as easily as you would another PDA 9if you know what I mean)

    thanks for the advice folks

I need to decide this pm while boss still in good mood

other option is a refurbished lifedrive from luzerntech on ebay
any option on the lifedrive, or indeed on lugerntech, any experience of buying from ?

    Yes.
Yes - ProStudent & Calligrapher might be of use (Although I find the char recogntion software built-in is good enough)
Yes - Excel sheets are no problem at all.
Oh God,Yes -> you can connect via wireless with ease.

I have an older x50-it rocks:)

It's a doddle to copy app's across - you just use the cable or cradle supplied and ActiveSync. aximsite and manuals will even help you if that's beyond your abilities (Which i doubt).

    Get the Axim:)

The only problem i foresee is that some software has issues with WM5 - but that'll be solved soon enough..
