Should you not be prepared to die? - Zen master Hakuin.

if you cannot find it on the stand on the 1st floor with all the extra sudoku and poker titles then ask to speak to me and I shall emerge from my paper cocoon and get you a copy.

no bleedin discounts though, not at 13.05! bleedin' ungrateful......

Fair play to HF and Des for stocking loads of poker books but Zen + Art of Poker isn't really worth it in my opinion. The Zen side of it might be a bit interesting in a poker context but the actual poker advice is shady at best.

ur absolutely right and at the same time it's the only poker book i still pick up and read.

i love this book, as much for its crazy theories on luck cycles as for its borrowed wisdom on patience.

this book is actually out of print but will probably be reprinted soon. so these six copies are probably the last i'll be able to find.

but you can easily and cheaply get a 2nd hand copy on amazon.

I bought Harrington's second book on Wednesday, hopefully it will reverse the 'final table' curse laid upon me after reading the first one! Only joking, there is no curse, I'm just not very good :)
I liked Zen, but some of the ideas / advice regarding patience and the virtue of waiting for the right cards to play are suitable in the context of a deep stacked tournament or a cash game, not most of the weekly tournaments in the Fitz / SE / etc...
