I would have thought it would be Sepultura headlining or at least a co-headline.

Me too. Still, that sounds like a winning gig alright. Over 14s too, well done MCD. About time!

Are they playing Belfast as well?

Typical! I wait years for In Flames to come to these lands and I end up leaving for New Zealand 3 weeks prior.

Two of my all time favorite bands. Cant wait for this. A bit **** there will be no booze, but its not essential to enjoy this gig! In work right now listening to Soundtrack, love this album. *Puts on flame proof jacket*

Go to see In Flames play for an hour and a half then! That is well worth the €28 alone!

Sweet! Definetly sounds like a good gig, even if In Flames' later stuff has been garbage.

I'm not so excited to be honest...Seps supporting In Flames? That in itself is just wrong.
When they supported Motorhead, their setlist was 8-10 songs. I always hoped the first time I saw Sepultura, it would be a headline tour, and I was waiting for dates for their Dante tour. Maybe this is just a warm up?
    Still though, I'll be there.

Exactly... I'm really looking forward to this gig! Although I'd be a bigger fan of Sepultura than In Flames, it should be a class gig & they're both great bands.

Thankfully I have seen the Seps headlining in the past both with & without Max, so I don't mind seeing In Flames headlining this time!

Every band goes through this - bands that would have supported them end up headlining..

At least its not like the Anathema / Him gig in January.. Won't be going to this as I don't like Him in the slightest & don't want to pay just to see the support band even though I really love Anathema. I'm gonna hold out & hope that they play here again on their own...

First off, it's not Sepultura without Max - they really should've changed the name. But that's neither here nor there... ;)

Saw In Flames last year and wasn't all that impressed tbh. My mates swore by the gig (these were the same mates who loved Megadeth  the night before). I expected something more I guess - not gone on their more recent stuff.

One member really doesn't make a band - if that was the case almost every band in existence would have changed their name half a dozen times!

I've seen Sepultura 3 times - once with Max on vocals, once with Andreas & once with Derrick - all of which were great gigs - different in their own ways. It would be a different story if Max had called Soulfly Sepultura. One member definitely does not make a band!

Although I'm not as taken with their more recent stuff, I'm really looking forward to this gig. Should be class!

I dunno...max is just legend enough for them to change their name I would say. :)

They said that about Axl Rose too...

Heard the stuff from the Live session in San Paulo [spelling?] and they sounded pretty good. Sepultura good, not Soulfly crapness, btw.

It does if that one member is Chuck Schuldiner.

What madness is this? Big Derrick is Sepultura! Max can stay doing the hippity hop elsewhere :v:
