If you are asking for leads as in cables, I don't know. If you are asking for leads, as in tips on what to buy, then read on.

I would advise you to keep an eye out for Lidl/Aldi DVD players. I bought one around this time last year, a brand called SilverCrest: DVD, DivX, Mpeg, mp3, wma player. Got a memory card slot and everything. It was 80 euro, and I wouldn't normally buy electrical equipment until I was 200% sure it was perfect, but at the time I had some money to spare and just went for it. It was one of the best things I ever bought. It has worked perfectly ever since, I can play everything on it. Managed to download every South Park episode ever made in DivX format and burned them to DVDs. Now I can watch them on tv, 25 episodes on each DVD, perfect quality. It is an excellent machine and great value for money, the amount of use I get out of it.

Also, it was easy to get a code on the internet to unlock the regions, now I can play all regions.

I am afraid to say that I downloaded them when I was in my student accommodation, up to a few weeks ago. It was cable internet from the college, the fastest connection I have ever used, with no limits on bandwidth or anything. I quit college recently, so back to 56k again for me

I got a "One Box, One Cinema" LG package from an ESB shop for only €120 (The ESB shops are closing down).

It is Model Number; LH-T6345, includes DVD player and 5 speakers with Sub- Woofer, also built in Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic 2 and DTS Decoder, plays DIVX, & MP3/WMA/JPEG/DVD - Video, DVD+/- R and RW, Audio CD/CD-R/CD/RW. Smooth scan/Smooth slow/ 100X Scan. Total 185W RMS Output power. Built in FM/AM Tuner.

The DTS effect is brill, but I know nothing about DIVX ?..

Great bargain though, it was half/price ;) as the ESB shops have been bought by The Royal Bank of Scotland, and they are clearing out some items at cost !.

    P.

The Philips one is nice because it's happy to play an incredible range of files. However, after a few months of using mine, I eventually got sick of the crappy quality of the actual picture it gave out, so I upgraded to a Sony DVP-NS52P. I think this cost me E120 from Dixons at the beginning of the year. The Sony is a lot more fussy about what files it will play (it won't touch xvid) but the the picture and sound quality is much better, so it's become my primary player and the Philips is hanging around in case my girlfriend will let us stick a DVD player in the bedroom :)

Also - the Philips was multi-region out of the box while I had to use a laptop to crack the Sony one.

If you've got a bit more money to burn, there's the Buffalo Linktheater. This is about 250 bucks and will play any file you want, but more importantly, it can connect to a PC via ethernet/wireless/USB. So you don't even have to burn the files to play them. Shame it only has component out, so you need a fancypants telly to use it.

When I read the box I went back for another for myself (others a present) but saw some git taking the last one. Aldi have one of these combi gadgets for 99 on thursday but I don't know if its a DivX player though, any info anyone ?
