Have you tried upgrading FF to version 1.5?

Happened to a friend of mine the other day but happened with all browsers not just Firefox.

He said he went to his broadband portal and there was some sorta filth-filter on that just blocked every image.

Nope, considering Deer Park Alpha 2 is as it says on the tin, alpha software, guaranteed to be full of bugs and totally unsupported. They even deliberately renamed it to stop people who didn't know better from downloading it.

It's about as much a cop-out as "My hand is burning, how do I fix the problem", "Did you try taking your hand off the cooker?" :)

Edit: Ah I see he had the same problem with supported Firefox.

Check your options "Edit->Preferences" or "Tools->Options". On the content tab(I think , preferences have been radically re-tweaked for 1.5), there's a "Load images" option and also a "for the originating site" only option. Make sure "Load images" is checked and "for the originating site only" is unchecked.

Have you tried seeing if the problem exists on a different profile? When upgrading, have you deleted every folder that Firefox creates, including profiles? What extensions do you have that might interfere with images?
