I am finishing my contract as Helpdesk/desktop support next week, and was just wondering if anyone here has heard of any IT related jobs going anywhere around Louth. the job i am in now is local, but unfortunately there is no chance of staying on as they are having to make serious cutbacks at the moment, and the thoughts of travelling to dublin everyday is killing me.If anyone knows of anywhere local hiring, any info would be much appreciated. Thanks

    Hi Kittenz,
the thoughts of travelling to dublin everyday is killing me

There is probably better money & more jobs working in the city, but it is going to be more hassle & stress.

I have a niece that worked at Iqon doing tech support, they seem to have a high turnover of staff ( it maybe different now ). She was there for 18mths-2 years. I see from their site that they are hiring Iqon vacancies.

She now works at Vodaphone doing customer service rep (CSR), better money and not as much stress. I think l remember seeing an ad in the Argus for CSR's not so long ago so they maybe hiring. I think Rigney Dolphin do the recruiting. Here is something from their site

    Telesales Agent
    Dundalk, Co. Louth
    07 Dec 2005
    Dlk114

Our client is looking to recruit two telesales agents for its expanding business. We are looking for target driven, enthusiastic individuals with the drive to succeed. Hrs of work 09.00 to 5.00 Mon to Fri. Please contact Sonia on 042 9357510 / 0879792905 or e-mail your CV to sbrody@rigneydolphin.ie

    Good Luck

Thanks for that etho, must take a look at that site.

    Hey Flocker,
Thanks a million for that information i will look into it further. I know that the money and experience would be great in dublin, but travelling is just a nightmare. I used to work in O'Connell street, so know exactly what it is like commuting everyday, that is why i am anxious about having to do it again! Thanks again
