    Going to Iceland for the new years.

    Any one know the best place to get currency? Is my best bet still my local bank?

    Rekjavik is great craic. Order it from your local bank or take it out over there.
    Rent a jeep and go exploring - better craic than a couch tour, also cheaper and more fun. enjoy!

    yeah, call into your bank a few days in advance just to make sure. i got mine in aib a few years back with no trouble at all.

    In Iceland almost everything takes a visa card including taxis it is all done remotely and you don't really need cash.
    It is expensive.
    a tip the Blue lagoon is a great place to chill out in especially this time of the year.

    Getting the money today. As soon as I get paid!

    It is expensive but I've got friends living and working over there. The lad who runs the jeep tours is based in their hotel so we can get a cheap jeep ride.

    Cant wait but there is no snow yet. Last year there as loads!
