I'm in first year and im just wondering... what happens if(when in my case) you fail anyone of your exams? Do you repeat it next semester or repeat the exam itself in august?

I dont wanna be eaten in my sleep :( odds are i wont get much sleep anyway due to this week off before exams. thank you ucd, my sleeping pattern is closer to a vampire then a human. but this is all my own fault...

You can repeat in May if the modual is running again next semester (i.e. if there'll be an exam set for may anyway).

You might think you're gona fail but you'd be surprised how easy it is to pass first year! Obviously if you are a first year you've prob never sat a college exam before and let me tell you they're not that bad! Cram, cram, cram and it should be totally possible to scrape a 40%!

    yeah what muffinman said.
I took geology in first year. The only rock I could talk about when I took the final was the sticky ones you get in a gift shop for a present for people you dont like. They gave me 40% anyway and I didnt even need to hand over a brown envelope. deadly buzz man wha, as colin farreller wud say.

I pretty much bluffed my way through geology in first year too...though i wouldn't advise that...

I dont think I stayed awake for any of the four geology lectures I attended in first year.
Man those geology staff are -dull-
although I heard a few stories (wont mention any names) about trips away (part of second year geology course) where there was a lot of drink driving from one or two lecturers... And Ive no reason to doubt my source. If its true, then they are -dull- AND -thick-
