    Freeroll Rules.

    1. Go all-in with any pair.
    2. If there are 3 cards of the same suit on the table you should bet big to scare off the other players, unless you have 2 cards of that suit. In this situation you should check to trap a lesser player.
    3. Go all-in post flop with AK, irrespective of the what's on the flop.
    4. If the button raises he's bluffing and you should definitely call. The cards don't matter here. It's psychological stuff now.
    5. Keep calling the buttons bets and raises all the way to the river. He's bluffing. The cards don't matter. Anyway, you might catch something.
    6. All-in with any 2 picture cards.
    7. Never raise pre-flop (except for rules 1,3,and 6). If you have a good hand, you should slow play it to trap the bad players
    8. Always play A2. You might flop 543.
    9. Always go all-in if you flop 543 when playing A2. It is the nuts.
    10. Never bet with a made hand (except where rule 9 applies). The other players will fold and you won't get any value.
    11. Always place a huge bet on the river. When you do that the other players will think you've slow played a monster and fold. It is not advisable to go all-in as one of the others might be a fish and call with a better hand.
    12. Always go all-in to a re-raise on the river as he is bluffing.
    13. If the button folds pre-flop and the bb raises rule 4 applies to the bb. He is the one who is bluffing.
    14. Always play with an Ace in your hand. There is a good chance an ace will come on the flop, turn or river giving you the nuts.
    15. Always play any 2 cards of the same suit. You could raise pre-flop with these but only if you are a more experienced player.
    16. If you do make the mistake of raising pre-flop, you should also always bet the flop, turn and river. The cards don't matter. This will make other players think you have the best hand and they will fold.
    17. Always play with connecting cards. 23, 45, 67, etc.
    18. If you raise pre-flop, and are re-raised you should always re-re-raise as he is bluffing. It is best to "put him all-in".
    19. To "put him all-in" is the most powerful play in poker. It does not matter if he has more chips than you. He will believe you have him beaten and will always fold.
    20. If someone calls you a fish, it is because he is jealous of your trap play.
    21. Alway play low cards i.e. 26, 27, 38, etc. Nobody will expect you to play these and you will beat them on the flop when you match a card. It is very important to then bet with your monster hand.
    22. Never raise pre-flop with AA or KK as the other players will know what you have and they will fold. You will only win the blinds.
    23. When you are "on the button" i.e. you are the dealer, you should always raise.
    24. If you have a pair of any kind you should always call whatever bets are made as the better is most likely bluffing.
    25. If a player "puts you all-in" you should always call as he is most likely bluffing.
    26. Always play with 72 offsuit. This is the worst hand in poker but nobody will expect you to play it and when the flop is 772 you will win (see rule 20).
    27. Alway play 10-2 off suit. This is known as the Branson, because Richard Branson won the World Poker Championship with it.
    28. Sometimes it is important to fold the best hand. This is so that the other players will think they can push you around and give them a false sense of security. You should let them know you folded the best hand by typing in the chat box what cards you held.
    29. Don't let other players push you around.
    30. If a player beats you, you should type in the chat box "nh". This stands for "Nice Hand". He will appreciate that you understand the game and he will not try to bluff you or push you around.
    31. If there is a full house or a flush you should type "vnh"
    32. If there is a straight flush or a poker of 4 cards you should type "vvnh"
    33. If there is a Royal Flush you should type "lucky" as a royal flush is impossible, and a myth in poker.
    34. When you win a hand you should always show your cards. This is to let the other players see that you are a superior player. You should do this even when you are bluffing as they will be afraid to call your bets in case you're not bluffing.
    35. Don't worry about being knocked out of a freeroll. There are so many bad players in them that someone will suck off on you and give you a bad beating. This is what it's called when you lose with the best hand.
    36. At the end of a game when you are beaten, you should always type "gg" in the chat box. This is the poker equivalent of "Goodbye". The other players will also type "gg". When they do it, it means they think you're a "Good Guy" and that you were unlucky to be beaten.

Obviously there are many more rules. I don't have time to put them all in now. Feel free to add as you see fit.

I'll take the :D, DG. Thanks.
My problem is I've played in waaaaaaaay too many of these things. I gave them up for a while and went back for one tonight. An hour in, my Kings were beaten by 2 pair.

A pair of idiots and a pair of morons.

I play a version of Sklanskys(?) system in freerolls and online turbo rebuys. All in with any pair and AK-T from any position, stacksize and no matter what the blinds are. Later stages I also push in position with any ace king or queen.

edit- After reading past the first rule I now realise that your strategy is far better.

Class! LMAO best post in ages... Here's one rule to add.

In the later stages of the tournament if a shortstacked player [A player with not many chips and therefore far more inferior than than the rest of the players] Pushes all in - he is bluffing. If he is called by another player he's probably bluffing too. If the chip leader on your table [chip leader - He's obviously an idiot who has got lucky to amass all those chips] pushes all in covering both players he's probably bluffing too. In this instance the best possible hand to call with is AJ - because the Jack is wild and you will win the hand. Push all in and wait for the applause as you river a straight.

Thanks for that dim. I knew I needed an end game rule there somewhere, but as I rarely make it that far I was stumped :D
