lol I heard the bell go on the luas and had to look up.
Thought he was comming from me.. but I was 40+ feet away.

Yea the Bike isnt sharp sadly. I'm finding it a tad hard take
some shots with ISO-50 without a stand or something to lean on :)

    I'll work on it.
Thanks for the replies so far.

I'm going to have to go to bed now, but I'm going to be as blunt as I can, without being as patronising as Shrimp.
Give a camera to a complete stranger, and they'll be able to take the same photos as those you've posted.
Try to look beyond the ordinary.
Most of those photographs simply have a longer exposure than normal, due to it being dark and need more light to make the exposure equal.

Then idea behind photograph makes 90% of the photograph itself.
Randomly shooting at night time doesn't to that.

Also, if your camera has a 12x lens, surely you should have been able to get in closer to the squirrel?

I'm a general fan of long exposure - esque shots.

    Thumbs up!

Just, steady that hand, breath out when holdin the cam... and relax.

The shot of the Luas's are quite nice actually, I like the level the photo was taken at.

No point in starting a new thread for what I'm about to say..

I've a problem with getting my greens right, as in they're not showing up as I'd like them to be on the picture. Even this morning it was so bright that I went out to take a few shots but it still came out pretty crappy. When I altered the brightness, the greens improved *slightly* but the rest of the picture was overly bright.

    Any suggestions?

Rather than altering the brightness, alter the contrast, and if using Photoshop, you can change the hues to get the green you want!

I must say I enjoyed them all, even the biros had brilliant colour in the shot.
I'm away from Ireland and the glimpses of home were nice. Thanks.

In that case the onus is on him to act his age, and to stop bringing personal discrepancy into ever thread he can. I never bring his (screen)name up in any of my posts in the way he does it to me. I think for someone of his "senior" position he should know his place, and he should stop being so arrogant. That applies to TimAy as well.

    To stay on topic.

The photos just seem like you were taking a few snap, not really for the artistic merit? Then again I think some of the ideas you had were good. I would say that you shouldn't over use long exposure shots, they are very very good when used well, but when over done, they look bad. Keep snapping tho.

if that crap that went on in the other thread starts here you're all getting banned. keep it on topic or **** off to after hours

a couple of nice images mate. The image of the trees works really well.Maybe you could have left the exposure for longer to emphasize the statuesque trees and the blurred, moving background.

The one with the biros has alot of potential, good idea but maybe you could decrease the DOF to really make it work well and play about with exposure a bit.All constructive criticism mate, some really nice images.
