Am lookin round the place for a pair of football gloves. Anyone got any for sale? Don't mind if they are well used or not! Prefer the goalkeeper style. If none of ye have any old ones - could ye recommend some new ones? Which are better for gaelic? Will the goaly ones make my hands sweaty and reak out me bag?
Relatively new to gaa - tryin to impress a girl...long story...

Tis a long story but will give ye the shortened version. Told a girl I played Gaelic Football for a local team. Now she wants to see me play...I'm up sihtscreak without a paddle if she finds out the truth...I'm hopin' the skills will come to me - it can't be that hard!

or handball, then you'd really be in trouble

You better start practicing those skills - they won't just miraculously come to you!

    I second that,

Its your own fault mate but join a club and train like mad.Try and make every training session and even practice on your own soloing the ball and kicking because its not like soccer where you only have to kick the ball.Gaelic is a more physically demanding sport than soccer so learn to use your hands for catching, hand passing etc.

Best gloves to get are the Uhlsport gaelic gloves. They are green and you can get them in Arnotts.

Best of luck man.Its going to take a lot of training, sweat and bruises to impress this lass of yours.

Did you ever have that where you see a girl whilst wearing beer goggles amd then talk to her on the phone and she sounds hot in your head. That was what happened me. Saw her today and she's not a good enough reason to start playin' Gaelic...

but not a girl who is very good at playing Gaelic Football than you...(would that be hard?) many of them are bit too butch

You should take up Gaelic Football, or hurling or handball anyway. They're good for the fitness and meeting new people
