I need advice on what flash to purchase for a canon eos 35mm slr.I take alot of action sports photographs and would need a flash to suit.I have looked at the links thread allready and not sure if any of them are good or realiable.Willing to spend 200 euro including postage so around 170 if its a walk in purchase, what is available for this price, any reccomendations?

    It's a eos 1000f.

It depends on ther distance to target as well - I use a Cobra 440 which has a dedicated autofocus built in and was under 50 eurons but only works to 60ft

Has the usual stuff - diffuser, angle-able head etc.
(This is for an EOS10 but very likely compatible with the EOS1000f)

most sports photographers use fast lenses (meaning wide aperture) and high iso, not flash

but if you really want something more than the onboard flash, i' advise the best second hand canon speedlite you can get

i use wireless canon 580ex speedlites and they are brilliant when you learn how to actually use them

I'd agree with using higher ISO film, and a wider aperture, flash can give quite a dull appearance to sports shots.

The subjects would be well within 60 feet. The lens I use is the sigma 35 to 300mm.I find it covers everything.Ill take a look for a speedlight.
    Thanks for the help.

you should try out 800 or 1600 iso film,

a good flash is essential of close up bmx and skateboarding pictures though
