    I own an INtel Pro/Wireless 2200BG wireless card - if i buy a wifi router using 802.11b will my wireless card work?

    The intel website is useless

    Of course it would, I don't know why you're adamant on buying a 802.11b router though, it's a standard that's been replaced, get a 802.11g.

    They will work - at b speed though (max: 11MBs in theory, IIRC.)
    At this stage, 802.11g isn't that expensive and would be significantly better from a performance p.o.v.
