    Saturday, 10th December
    Birmingham v Fulham, 15:00
    Blackburn v West Ham, 15:00
    Bolton v Aston Villa, 15:00
    Charlton v Sunderland, 15:00
    Chelsea v Wigan, 15:00
    Liverpool v Middlesbrough, 12:45
    Newcastle v Arsenal, 17:15
West Brom v Man City, 15:00
    Sunday, 11 December 2005
    Man Utd v Everton, 16:00
    Monday, 12 December 2005
    Tottenham v Portsmouth, 20:00

Another Premiership week is upon us, predictions anyone? I'd fancy Liverpool and Chelsea to pick up all the points at home. It's a little harder to call Newcaslte/Arsenal, given Newcastle's mixed form and Arsenal's poor away record. I'm hoping for a United backlash on Sunday, but the team hasn't always sparkled at Old Trafford this season.

On another note, who thinks that if Newcastle lose today, and there's a strong possibility they will, that Souness will be gone before the end of tomorrow?

I'm looking forward to another battle between Given and Henry.

Very likely TBH, he was blessed that they got the draw last week.

Listening to the Liverpool-Boro game, we, er they started brightly but possession is messy.

You do realise that the three posters after the OP posted the fixtures included their prediction for each game after each fixture? Thats what people tend to do, predict results...

anyone watching the liverpool - boro game? see gerrard chasing that ball that time that went out of play, i thought the advertising board he hit was quite apt...it read "JD- we got it" :D one of the most entertaining things in the match so far

Is it that boring? According to the commentary I'm watching, 'Pool are all over 'Boro.

they are all over them, but im afraid liverpool need to work on heading the ball over the next few training sessions (crouch, morientes and sissoko), either that or play the ball in more on the ground.

Boro are set up to frustrate Pool really.

    Mike.

Luis Garcia on for Crouch so some guile required.

2-0, two really great goals for 'Nando.

What was the difference between Morientes reacting to Riggot's challenge and Bates reacting to Sissoko's? Was the influenced by the crowd or the fact that Sissoko fell to the ground? Either way I can't believe Bates was booked for a little push on Sissoko.

BTW, I've yet to see this inconsistent Gerrard, even playing out of position.

    Riggot sent off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,255 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

Another clean sheet for the 'Pool.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,117 ✭✭✭✭MrJoeSoap

Sissoko hasn't impressed me at all. His ridiculous reaction to Bates' "push" says a lot about him, can't see a player like Gerrard going down the way he did.

    Liverpool have been excellent.

Riggott's sending off was a tad harsh, the first tackle was a booking but the second was debatable. Still, he knew he was on a yellow, should perhaps have been more careful.

    That'll do nicely! :)

All those ties that Liverppol struggled with last season are being dealt with in a truly professional manner. And Rafa beats the Manager of the Month curse.

    Mike.

Not a classic, but 2-0 is good.

Is it ever anything else from Sunderland! Who got it?

Come on Blackburn. We've been hit by injuries and suspensions this weekend. Only 1 recognised central defender playing. Todd and Nelsen both missing.

    from bbc
    1607: GOAL Charlton 2-0 Sunderland
Steven Caldwell clearly felt left out of Sunderland's first-half defensive disaster and sets up Charlton's second. He slices the ball on to the post and then passes it to Darren Ambrose who has a simple tap-in.

    Dickov brace, Blackburn go ahead.

    Mike.
