I'd like to see them but €54 for 90 minutes? FFS

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

€54 is expensive but it would make my girlfriend's year so I'm willing to cough up for it.

€54 is a tad steep but at least now I don't have to go abroad to see them.

I'm wondering the same thing meself...

Depeche mode generally play stadiums guys. 54 quid for the point is grand and as pointed out previously the only way to see them was going abroad.

Not to encourage any of you (you know who you are) to stock up and resell but check out the prices for tickets on ebay to get an idea the price people are willing to pay to see these guys.

This will sell out and Im getting my tickets thursday 9am. If you dont want to pay outrageous prices to touts Id recommend doing the same.

Thank god theres no Glasto this year.

I am going to see them 3x abroad on the tour. It usually is more craic. Besides, it wasn´t always clear that they would come over

If they had announced Dublin from the start I would have gone there instead of getting tickets to Manchester, damn. I am tempted to get me tickets to Dublin also but money is a big factor :( .

Excellent, may be expensive tickets but cheaper than having to travel abroad to see them.
Anyone know how to get the better seated tickets?
    Tks

54 for the mode, I'd pay any day, sure I'm paying a small fortune to see a bunch of old wrinklies on monday, but chances the mode would play a decent lenght show is...? still very tempting tho....hmm, what to do, what to do...

typical though isn't it, they're playing in June, and the tickets go on sale just before christmas...hmmm.

Got my tickets. Now I'm off to get dressed and listen to some Depeche Mode

Any idea who the support is? Should be a great show anyway.

Ticketmaster has 'currently not on sale' on their website regarding this gig. Does this mean they are sold out, or they are cancelling? Last 3 gigs I had tickets for cancelled so I am wary of that possibility now!

    Sold out in January man.

To go on about the support thing, I've now heard it's gonna be either Goldfrapp, Muse or both. It better be both, then it'll be the gig of the year.

Any source on that... seems unlikely it would be anyone as big as either of them but would be a nice surprise if so.

I got my DM tickets for the point, as for 90 minutes, i was at the barcelona gig in Febury, 20,000 fans and they played for 2 hours.

Goldfrapp are playing Oxegen and Muse could headline the Point themselves, so they're both very unlikely. Bauhaus are playing with Depeche Mode the day before at London's Wireless Festival... would be brilliant to see them again in Dublin.

I saw Depeche on February 8th in Lisbon with The Bravery as support act. I thought Bravery tours with them all along on their European leg? I´ll be in Manchester and Birmingham at DM gigs and see who will be supporting them then.

    Not during the summer... thankfully.

Rumor has it the orginisers are trying to book DM for Electric Picnic.
It was on the Star newspaper yesterday.

Haven't they wrapped up touring (at least in Europe) by then?

Can't really see that happening, but it would be great.

It is getting close now, I don't think Goldfrapp will be supporting, they have a great dj set between the support and DM though.

I'm delighted they brought Photographic back to the setlist, I love it :D .

    make that one day........

I read on the board on the Depeche Mode website that a gang are meeting up beforehand in the Harbourmaster in the IFSC... I think I might drop in. It can't help but get a bit of atmosphere going before the gig!

Also, a reliable source (friend who works in EMI) has told me that there is no support at the gig. He also said that they won't take to the stage until 8:45; but I'm not risking that! I'll be there for about half 7.

    Can't wait!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,585 ✭✭✭honru

Hopefully this'll mean a longer set.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,136 ✭✭✭holly_johnson

Have a look on the website, they have published the set lists used at all the other gigs. Looks good to me!!
