Who thinks we're due another investigation?

    I was thinking of perhaps doing another investigation at Charleville Castle, to allow those who couldn't come the first time to check it out another time. I'm sure people will still be required to pay the money, like last time, but those who were at the first investigation will be paying a lesser amount this time around. Hopefully this time around, things will be a little smoother with organisation, as let's be frank, I kind of screwed up a couple of things, even if they were just minor things. ^_^;;;

Either way though, I was thinking this would happen in the new year, like after all the festivities have taken place. I'm going to drop down to the castle over Xmas week or talk to Dudley to arrange something.

    So, any takers?

Note that this is a well-in-advance warning, seeing as I need to arrange a weekend to come over, as I'm in England. I don't mind coming, just that I need at least a month's notice to go and arrange flights!

PS: If you can think of somewhere else to investigate, I'm open to suggestions for that too...

I need to dig up the fees again.... I know that in order to do activities at the castle, a sum of 10 Euros a year is needed (yearly membership), plus whatever else there is on top, which goes towards the upkeep of the castle.

Hey it alll went perfect last time! I mean i know you had to go off and give a tour but that didnt hold anything up.

I'll be up for it of course ... job or no job! Oh and i may have someone with me. Wasnt it about €40 last time? that included the membership of €10. €40 is nothing to spend the night in a truely one of a kind castle!

I'll be more active on here and with emails soon, things are looking better on the old job front!

That's very true. :) I loved it when we were asked when we were starting by that Canadian lady (whose name I can't remember at the time), and everyone looked at me, which caught me off-guard! I still find that moment pretty amusing even to this day :)

That's cool. For you it will be 10 Euros less as you signed the form. I'm going to be bringing a couple of people too, one guy may be coming from London with me, the other person lives over in Ireland, and I've met her before. She's also on the boards.

And yeah, 40 euro is virtually nothing to be able to spend the night at Charleville, especially as you get a warm tingly feeling of helping a good cause :)

Nice one! Glad to hear that things are going so well for you. :)

I'm gonna try to get the forums up and running sometime soon, most likely after next week, after I get my coursework for uni out of the way.

Sure, I will do :) I'm not putting up a poll yet, because I haven't decided on a date range yet. I'd love to know how you guys are fixed for time. naturally, it would have to be a weekend though.

Allegedly, it is, but I dunno what the chances of investigating it are at the moment.

I'd be up for going again anyway.

I'm free most weekends, so I should be fairly flexible on dates.

I'd be up for a visit in January.... but might be a bit short notice to arrange a stay?

Yeah, it would kind of be short notice in a sense, though that said, I have free reign of January, provided I don't stay at my house anyway! Ryanair are doing free flights from the 1st of January, right up till the 9th of February. Either way though, I need to organise January, because I have a few things going on from the 9th up to the 19th, or within that bracket anyway. I'll see how I'm fixed, however.

I can call up Dudley to see what he thinks. I'll do up a poll for a January investigation after New Years, once I've gotten a few things sorted out.

That's cool... I doubt I could get something sorted in January anyway... May end up being February or March at this rate!
