Once again, I'm witnessing the bizarre phenomenon that is blokes wearing scarves indoors.
    We're reaching epidemic proportions here.
What is it with these "guys"?
I saw it in the pub the other day... bloke (dressed in work clothes) with suit jacket off, but wearing scarf tied around neck.
All sort of male celebs seem to be at it.... it does seem to be does branded with the metro-sexual brush btw.
I know it's common for all yee girlies now (I think every girl in the office is at it), but lads??
Does this strike as a sign of an uber-stylish man or a uber-prat?

Scarf is to keep neck warm when cold outside. You think I'll wear my gloves indoors?

Maybe he had a sore throat? :D

Hehe, yea I think it's a bit wierd! I wouldn't fancy a fella wearing a scarf as a decoration around his neck!!
Men's fashion is really catching on now though isn't it? with all this pink clothes for men, handbags and costume jewellery!! Personally I prefer a man who is a bit more macho!!!

It might seem a bit metro-sexual, but I suppose that a lot depends on the man, and the scarf.

Yeah i didn't get the whole wearing scarf indoors by girls but over the weekend I got a creek in my neck and wore the scarf in the office as i couldn't really move my neck so I couldn't hurt it....I'm startin to miss the warmth of it now tho....

They have a fabulous mother's love scarf in, oh wait, scratch what I'm saying...

I've noticed it myself a bit lately. One guy in the office reminds me of Tom Baker/Doctor Who with his scarf :)

if one really feels the need to wear somthing around the neck indoors, wear a cravat !

I wear one to school every day. It's been fairly chilly in the morning for the past while and f*cked if I'm having a cold neck in the morning. Function over fashion for me.

That being said, it's not one of these new fangled fancy scarves with all sorts of designs or anything like that. It's a plain red scarf.

It is in no sense of the word a decoration for me and I certainly wouldn't be wearing one indoors, least of all with a shirt and tie.

While it is ridiculous to wear a scarf indoors, the scarf wearer could be a lovely bloke.

I don't think you should judge someone based on their fashion.

    (sorry to sound reasonable! :))

i dont wear scarves inside cos then when i go out the scarf doesnt provide the same warmth if im after wearin it inside in the warm, cos my body's adjusted to it in the highr temperature, so its not as effective in the colder temperature...or somethin like that!! i always thought scarves were for keepin ya warm  :D

Just moved whiskeyman and cheesedude's argument to the thunderdome, as it's off the (very important?) topic here. The thread title should be obvious :)

Maybe it's just laziness. I bet he's thinking "Why should I bother taking it off now when I'm just gonna have to put it back on again in a couple of hours?".
    Scarves outside only, people!

Oooh see I have a big thing for guys and nice scarves so if a hottie wants to wear his scarf indoors it's fine by me :D

i was in capital last night, and there were a couple of blokes wearing scarves!

    what complete berks!

it's as pretentios and pathetic as wearing sunglasses at night, with the added effect of being roasting.

It looks stupid and unfortunately it seems to be catching on.
Why wear a scarf indoors? It just makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, if you're cold stick a sweater on or something but going around in a tshirt and scarf just looks thick.

Maybe people are afraid they'll forget them if they take them off.

Although, I must add that I think scarves can be a good way to brighten up an outfit too!
