Heres a good one for yez,

ur drivin down rodeo drive in your convertible, oh yes rodeo drive, and ur waving to all the chicks, doin a mean 30mph! next thing a fly lands on ur dashboard, he sits checkin out the dash, hops around, and flies off!!!

So i ask u while you were driving at 30mph the fly outside ur car was flying at 30mph correct, yes but when he landed on the dash and hopped around was he still doin 30mph (when he wasnt touching the car at all) or was he chillin out as he would in a non moving car.

Think about it then consider a fly or bird even flying beside ur 4 door saloon, then it flies in the window and u roll it up, is the fly now still flying at 30 mph to keep up?

    Nice relativity problem

well if you throw a ball in a car, and it goes out the window, will the ball madly decrease in speed? no, it will gradually because of the added variable, which is wind resistance. so technically for you to throw the ball and for it to go ahead of you it must be going at more then the speed of the car <inseart pointless rant here>...

oh God I hate you, Bazpaul, I was planning on sleeping tonight

Depends what your frame of reference is. With respect to the ground you're both doing 30mph.

Whether he's touching the car or not I do not see as relevant. Assuming the air inside the car is relatively still and the car is travelling at a constant speed then the fly's motion inside the car would be the same whether it was still w.r.t the road or moving at 30mph. But anyway think about it, all linear motion is relative.

By "keep up" I assume you mean put in effort. It would only put in effort to stay up from gravity and to fly against wind resistance. Since it flew into the car the wind resistance is no longer relavent so the answer is no, it would not be working to keep up. But it would still be flying at 30mpg w.r.t to the ground. Just like you sitting inside the car are not running at 30mph.
