I have an Inspiron 9300 and I'm fed up having to plug out and pack up my AC adapter everytime I want to bring it to college so I have decided to buy a second one. However the dell website dosen't seem to offer much and after googling it I didn't get any good results. Does anybody know where I could buy one, online or on the highstreet. P.S I'm not interested in using ebay( bad experience previously). Thanks in advance for any suggestions/info.

Dell are usually ok for AC adaptors, not sure about delivery though. We've gotten adaptors off them for about 40 - older laptops so smaller - compares well to quotes of 180 for sony adaptors from sony dealers. Ring them up and ask for part sales. Of course they may be a lot more now.

Someone should have link to a clone psu for it.

Another option would be to buy a second battery - if two would get you through the whole day !

BTW: most toshibas seem to have used a 15V adapter and I've run Centrino laptops on adaptors that were made for laptops 1/10 the clock speed - most other manu's change the specs too frequently IMHO

the dell site have replacement ones
you might consider a port replicator which often comes with an adapter:v:
