I know these things (leaflets in papers) are always a con, but this one has the list of things you could win, min €150 cash, no small print ANYWHERE that says (plus hundreds of poundshop items to be won).

It doesn't actually say you win, but can claim. Could these be taken to the small claims for false advertising if they don't honour it or what?

Has anyone elsed gotten one and "won"?

It's run by "Purely Creative ltd, Dun Laoighre"

    It is what it's.

Type int "Purely Creative Ltd" into google and your computer will probably vomit on ya. Scam. Simple as. Not sure how they get around this...the £150 is probably in old irish money.

Oh it's semi legit alright, but you'll probably notice that one of the prizes mentioned is a "€200-300 holiday voucher" which is what most people will "win".

Of course to claim this "prize" you must ring their €1.50 per minute phone number and listen to the 5 minute automated message, before entering your code etc...

So all in all, scam. :)

scan one of these in and I bet you 100% there's small print / T&Cs that get them off the hook.

Is one of the options a holiday?
If you push it and ask for your prize, they give you a holiday for one to somewhere, at very short notice. Hardly anyone, if anyone, goes, so they make lots from you ringing up and don't pay out anything.

AFAIK only one phone scam company has been successfully prosecuted in this country and the fine was less than 1c per phone call.

I'll let you figure out how well regulated the market is and how much they fear the regulator.

Yeah - they say you have won a week in the Carribean, but that means that they will pay for the 2nd week once you pay for the first week or some dodgy catch like that (and as Diarmsquid says, the holiday is for one, so you have to pay an upgrade if you want to go with someone else).

If it sounds too good to be true, then it normally is.
