Im not sure if anyone can help me but i think im in trouble.

I wasn't sure what to buy my boyfriend for Christmas but suddenly i had an idea, he loves American Chopper so i searched the Web to see if they sell merchandise & to my joy they did. They had a huge range of stuff so i was very impressed.

So i bought 4 items, belt, T-shirt, Baseball cap & a custom bike figurine. I place my order, paid by my Visa came to €50.00 plus wait for it €108.00 postage & packaging. That was fine as i know he will love the prezzie.

Next thing got an email saying that i need to send on identification as they need to verify with Visa company. So they asked to send a scanned copy of my drivers licence & copy of my visa card both sides (I covered the digits on my card). I then sent off this email with all the info attached.

Then recieved another email saying a week later to say my order has been cancelled as they could not verify my Visa Card with my Visa Card Company & that i should contact them to resolve this. So i called the Visa card company they said they had authorized this payment to the Merchandise store.

I emailed the Merchandise company back to say it had been authorised & to send on my order asap. I know im ranting but they emailed me back the following day to say

    'Dear Customer,

Thank you for taking the time to email us.
We apologize for the inconvenience, however for the detail inquiry of
the order status please contact customer service department.

If there is anything else we can do to assist you, please feel free to
    contact us.

    products and great savings.

    Have a great day!

So now i presume i have to ring America to sort this out which i don't want to do as i taught this could be sorted via email.

Im not a fraudster so can anyone tell me why im finding this so complicated & difficult to buy these items???

Thanks for everyones post in Advance :)

I'm sorry for your troubles Angels, but I'm guessing you will have to ring them directly.

Also, just for future reference - you can get official AC merchandise on ebay for a lot less than it costs from them.
Also, if your b/f doesn't have any DVD's of the show - you can get series boxsets here for just $13
This is waaaaay less than I've seen on the net anywhere else.

    Good luck.

I ordered a t-shirt and a cap of them last year for my wife. It cost $20 plus $25 postage. Grand. I then got a bill from customs for around €30 including brokerage fees etc. I will not be doing it again.
Try ebay, at least it will be cheaper

    hey guys.
ordered 2 shirts and a hat on the 29-11-5, and got recieved them in cork 7 days later, no hassle. paid about $7/8 for the postage.....the shirts worked out about $19 and the hat was $11......
If you are having problems, go onto the webiste and there is a link, where you can contact them on an instant messaging service, and they should be able to help, they were good when i contacted them about shirt sizes etc...
