I have heard that there is going to be a bus lane installed on the hard shoulder. The shoulder needs to be upgraded.

I know that on the Navan side of Dunshaughlin they are working there too and there are signs up about a Bus Lane.

What I can't understand is why they would waste all this money on a bus lane when there is going to be a new M3 motorway built.

I think they change the rules as they see fit and we, the general public, just put up and shut up

Well as Mr. Dempsey said for those who don't want to pay and queue at the two sets of toll plazas the old N3 will still be open to them. Plus all the additional houses and retail parks that will be built along the N3 will mean that this route will stay busy so I assume a bus lane would be advantageous.
