What did people think of prime time last night about the car dealers??

Would it change peoples minds about buying a car from dealers??

Don't buy new cars as I resent gving so much money away.

Dealers can operate like a cartel because of VRT. VRT makes the Irish market a closed market.
SIMI are complicit in that they agreed with revenue to provide OMSP valuations to Revenue.

BTW the government have no interest in making cars cheaper. The cheaper a car the less VRT and VAT that is extracted.
The government has no motivation to reduce Tax income as it isn't an election issue; people still insist on purchasing new cars despite knowing that they are being ripped off.

If we could buy low milage cars from UK car superstores the cartel would collapse but we can't.
