i was just wondering can anybody shed some light on my problem...

I have a IItronics MP3 player which has a built in microphone. i often use this to record my lectures in college. my problem is in trying to convert these to WAV or MP3 format so that i can listen to them on larger speakers.... the are saved with the extension .act at the end of the filename. is there any (free!) software available to convert these. i was given one b4 but it didnt do the job....
any advice wud be appreciated
